Happy Tape – Japanese Masking Tape

How crazy is it that I’m seriously considering dropping $50 on a selection of cheerful packing tapes and a dispenser? And just when I’m thinking that the house needs a serious de-clutter?

The pictures are so cheerful and apparently hit exactly the same colour-loving sweet spot in my brain that beautiful yarn does -  ‘ooh.  pretty.  colours.  BUY’.  And I know that the Minx, who is in the throes of a long and passionate love affair with Sellotape, would spontaneously combust with delight.

But for the moment, I shall content myself with the ogling the pretty pictures.  Maybe I’ll get myself some as a reward if I ever manage to tidy my desk. All these beauties are available from Happy Tape’s shop here, please don’t tell me if you buy some.

I've decided that it's going to be my reward for tidying my desk/office...now just to find five spare hours or so and some motivation to do that :)

Oh and I'm thinking of getting some in at mirrormirror if I can, so I'll come back and tempt you again...

Liz@VioletPosy

No utterly sane, I'd love those! :)

anna

Kylie @ All Things Lovely

Can definitely see why you'd spend that cash! Who wouldn't want to make things a little prettier?

I found this tape when we were on vacation in Maui and brought it back for all my friends (and myself, and my kid). It is awesome and makes my pathetic wrapping job look far more chic.

But, I also didn't like my preschooler using all my tape so I gave her a roll of beige masking tape and Sharpies and she has been making her own. Oh, and she got a roll of leftover painters tape. I think she is even happier with her own designs on the tape.

Meadow, that is a really, REALLY good idea...I shall set the Minx to work without delay...

I bought a smaller amount of this months ago and I hoard it- It's TOTALLY worth it. You can wrap a prezzie in brown paper or butchers block and add the tape and it looks fantastic and unique.

    Hi-

I adore the color turquoise in these photos. Any way I can find out the paint name or number so I may duplicate it?

I read the dresses sold out within minutes on launch in the UK, however I would have much preferred it if the Missoni/Target range launched here :)

Haha! Now you've got me rushing off to your blog to read all these comments...my Facebook page has been known to go a little nuts on the indoor/outdoor cat question though.

And I do want to say that I FULLY UNDERSTAND people who keep their cats indoors, especially in the US. The roads here can be crazy and there are things like coyotes and bald eagles roaming free, which are not exactly an issue in the UK.

I think "incongruous" is the perfect way to describe the whole thing. There are some stunning individual pieces and the site is amazing. I would kill to be that close to the High Line! However, yeah, total mishmash that does not work at all, and bigger mishmashes have been successful. Also, there seems to be no understanding of scale whatsoever. That place is swallowing all of that busy crapola.
