That Was The Week That Was

Some favourite Instagram photos from last week. Come and find me, I’m ‘mirrormirrorxx’.  (Going to try and do this every weekend).

As you can see it’s been a week of snow and soft pastel colours.

We had a massive snowstorm in Seattle last week which meant that the Minx and I were both trapped at home.  What with that and going away on a jolly with the Husband’s job last weekend, I’ve still trying to catch my tail after Christmas.

Normal, hopefully better than normal, blog service will resume tomorrow.

Lara Alexander

Looks like a week of comforts and sweets.

Paola

Most of my weeks are like that :)

Mally

These work beautifully as a collection. Have you used an app to get the (very cool) polaroid frames? It's a great way to tie the images together.

I read the dresses sold out within minutes on launch in the UK, however I would have much preferred it if the Missoni/Target range launched here :)

  • Paola on Yeah, Our Cats are Dorks – Cat Bibs

Haha! Now you've got me rushing off to your blog to read all these comments...my Facebook page has been known to go a little nuts on the indoor/outdoor cat question though.

And I do want to say that I FULLY UNDERSTAND people who keep their cats indoors, especially in the US. The roads here can be crazy and there are things like coyotes and bald eagles roaming free, which are not exactly an issue in the UK.

I think "incongruous" is the perfect way to describe the whole thing. There are some stunning individual pieces and the site is amazing. I would kill to be that close to the High Line! However, yeah, total mishmash that does not work at all, and bigger mishmashes have been successful. Also, there seems to be no understanding of scale whatsoever. That place is swallowing all of that busy crapola.

  • becky on Yeah, Our Cats are Dorks – Cat Bibs

I LURRRRVE that you pre-empted all the annoying indoor/outdoor cat discussions! I feel like all the comments I've been getting on my writing lately are similar - share a darling nursery/let's discuss crib bumpers and SIDS in a pissed off, sarcastic rude way full of all caps...let people know that pot fillers exist and get comments from angry psychos who want to explain to me that you still have to carry the boiled pasta to the sink...wow, thanks so much for putting that in four sarcastic paragraphs, person with no life...

ANYHOOOO... love the bibs, had never heard of them before, was wondering what the heck your cats were wearing...jealous that you can let your kitties roam free. Bubbs is housebound as we live in the city but I know she'd love it out there.

  • Dana on Downton Abbey Paper Dolls

Okay, dead Mr. Pamuk has me laughing out loud. These paper dolls are great. I have so enjoyed Downton Abbey. Will there be more, do you think?
